>Mica: Mica found in Igneous and metamorphic rocks in transparent. flexible and electrically resistant.

  • Andhra Pradesh is the largest producer of Mica ore.
  • India is on the first place in production of Mica shed (Flake mica) in the world. Here more than 60% good quality of mica found in world are produced.
  • Top states in terms of Mica reserves. (i) Andhra Pradesh: 41% (ii) Rajasthan: 28% (iii) Odisha: 17% (iv) Bihar: 2%
India's largest Mica Mekhala is spread across Hazaribagh, Gaya and Munger. Within this comes Koderma district, which is called the capital Mica.






>Limestone: It is the sedimentary origin of limestone deposits. It is the basic raw material of the cement industry. It is found in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

>Gold: India's three major gold mines are: (i) Kolarkhan : Mysore
(ii) Hatli Khan: Raichur  (iii) Ramgiri Khan: Andhra Pradesh

-Karnataka is leading state in gold production and storage. Halti gold mine company is the only gold producing company in India.

>Diamond: It is mainly found in Vindhyan region of Bundelkhand (Madhya Pradesh), Kurnool and Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh and Raichur of Karnataka panna district of Madhya Pradesh is famous for diamond production.

>Gypsum: Gypsum is a hydrated sulphate of calcium. It is used in making Ammonium sulfate, fertilizers and nitrogen chalk, cement sulfur, plasters of Paris, partition block, sheet etc.

- Gypsum producers top states: - (i) Rajasthan (ii) Jammu and Kashmir (iii) Tamil Nadu (iv) Gujrat.

Marble: Rajasthan is the largest marble producing state in India.

-Marble producing top stated in India are: (i) Rajasthan (ii) Madhya Pradesh (iii) Andhra Pradesh

-Makrana known (Nagpur, Rajasthan) world for marble production is known throughout. 

>Uranium: It is known as metal of hope. Its major ores are: Pitchblende, Thorinite, Somerskite. 

- Uranium producing states (i) Jharkhand (ii)Rajasthan (iii) Andhra Pradesh.

- 80% of India's Uranium is obtained from Jadugoda mine in Singhbhum district.
